HUUM sauna heaters stand out with their sleek, minimalist, and rounded design, making them among the most stylish options available. They feature a notably high stone capacity, which ensures a gentle and enduring steam experience, closely resembling that of traditional saunas. The design minimizes the use of metal, so the warmth primarily radiates from the stones rather than from heated metal surfaces. This results in a higher concentration of negative ions in the air, which are believed to offer various health benefits. Additionally, pairing the heater with a UKU Wi-Fi or GSM controller allows you to easily manage your sauna’s temperature from your mobile device.

HUUM offers a range of heaters designed to suit various sauna room sizes, from compact spaces to larger rooms. Their models are suitable for saunas with volumes ranging from 106 to 1,236 cubic feet.

Choosing the right heater output depends on the size of your sauna room and its insulation.

As a general guideline, you need 1 kW of power for every 35 cubic feet (1 m³) of sauna room volume.

If the heater is underpowered, it may heat the sauna too slowly, produce insufficient steam, and wear out faster. On the other hand, a slightly more powerful heater won’t cause issues if it has a thermostat and is used correctly.

Another crucial factor is the insulation of your sauna room. If you have any uninsulated brick, tile, glass, or log walls, you should add an additional 53 cubic feet (1.5 m³) to your sauna room size calculation for every square meter of such wall.

To calculate the appropriate heater size, multiply the height, width, and length of your sauna in feet. Then, add 53 cubic feet for each square meter of uninsulated surface. This will give you the total volume of your sauna in cubic feet, which you can use to determine the suitable heater output. If your calculation falls between two heater sizes, it’s generally better to choose the larger one.

If the heater is correctly sized, it heats up at a rate of about 50°F every 8 minutes, reaching 176°F in roughly an hour.

HUUM Controllers

The key difference lies in how you control your sauna. With the UKU Local, you can only operate your sauna from the wall-mounted control panel. The UKU Wi-Fi controller, however, allows you to control your sauna remotely through the HUUM mobile app, provided you have a Wi-Fi connection.

No, HUUM heaters require a controller with temperature control as they do not have an on/off button.

The control panel should be installed outside the sauna at eye level near the door or according to the manufacturer’s guidelines. The main module should be placed in a dry, accessible location—preferably not inside the sauna. If using a UKU Wi-Fi controller, ensure the main module can connect to the internet from its location.

GREAT home sauna but heavy front glass panel !!

Assembly easy & quick with 3 people. The glass front is VERY HEAVY @ #220 and large. Does fit through standard door. Heats well, looks great. The temperature gradient is pretty steep so I did insulate the top. Wiring the 8 Kw heater was tricky as internal bridging was required. Would buy again, good value excellent product.

The sauna looks fantastic

Setting up this sauna was challenging-definitely follow the directions closely. A video tutorial would have helped, but the end result is worth it. Perfect sauna for urban backyard!

I love this sauna! It's perfect for 2 people (or 3, but 3rd person has to sit horizontally and be pretty small). It heated up to 210 degrees the first time I used it. I'm an avid sauna user and it was HOT.

I had my contractors put it together. The kit arrived in a palette with a delivery service about 10 days after I placed the order. It took my contractors 1.5 days to put it together, having never done one before and it looks great!

The configuration of how the heater sits is a bit weird with the Harvia "build in control" version because the knobs face the back of the sauna and you can't really see them and sort of have to guess what position the knobs are in. I almost regret not just buying the wifi-enabled, but money was hard to justify there.

Accessories: Thermometer works great. Only thing I don't like is the bucket and ladle. The bucket doesn't come with a handle, you use the ladles as the handle and it doesn't seem secure at all when carrying water. The ladles handle also gets extremely hot to the touch (hotter than the wood in the sauna) and you need to use a towel to use it. I'm going to shop for new accessories for sure, which is annoying, but for the great deal I got on this sauna, it was worth it.

I had the same sauna priced out by a local sauna installation company and they had told me $10k all-in for sauna, heater, installation. I did this for far less buying through Premium Saunas and using my own contractor. This website offered the best price and although I was a bit skeptical about the vendor and process for delivery, it was insanely smooth and a great deal!
